I’m Back. . . With Spring Colors

The 2 month hell period is over until June, and I’ve spent the last couple of days sleeping and getting my alcohol tolerance back up. Today I ventured out to Sally and found that they had put out new spring colors from China Glaze, Finger Paints, and Orly. I got one from each, and will swatch those for your shortly.

China Glaze Avant Garden has 12 colors in it. I picked up Fancy Pants, not surprisingly the darkest of the colors and one that has a subtle shimmer. The China Glaze charts hint that some of the others have a shimmer to them but I didn’t see it in picking up the bottles. You can see China Glaze’s blow-ups here.

Next, FIngerpaints, which launched 6 colors in Wild About Spring. I got the non-glittery purple, called Itsy Bitsy Spider – I’m not sure really where these names came from or why these colors are particularly spring-like.

Finally, Orly has launched Hope and Freedom Fest. If you play the which of these is not like the other game, you’ll see which one I picked – of course the dark blue/purple, High on Hope.

I’ll be back tomorrow with some swatches. These are slated for official launch March 1, but your store probably has them in already. If not, you can order online and get free shipping if you spend at least $50.

Brief Hiatus

This is one of my two busy times of the year at work, so for the next two weeks or so I will like be MIA. Once this is over, at the end of February, I will be back with a vengeance!

Through February 11, Barielle has 10% off an order of $25 or more, 20% off an order of $50 or more, and 35% off an order of $75 or more, all with free shipping (the free shipping seems to apply to any order, even one of just two polishes). They’re also giving you buy one polish get another half price, which brings the polishes to $6 each before the percentage off. Barielle has a fairly good color selection and a boatload of nudes in every possible shade if that’s your thing.

Rainbow Honey The God of Destiny over Essence Hard to Resist

Remember that awesome Rainbow Honey sale I told you about that’s going on through the end of February? My order showed up and I was floored. For $37.50 I got TEN mini polishes, each in a lovely box with  beautifully labelled top with the polish’s name and a picture, and. . . just wow. Honey is the right word. When this showed up, I’d done my nails with a dark blue Essence color, Hard to Resist, but couldn’t resist the Rainbow Honey. So I put The God of Destiny on top.

I’ve been looking at this all day. Second Rainbow Honey order placed and a full size bottle of God ordered. Also I ordered yesterday and they have already sent me the shipping notice. Also the code didn’t go through on the last one and it took them about a second to reply to my email and fix it. I can’t say enough about their CS, their polish, or their packaging.

Butter London Sets for $25
